1. What rotational speeds is this sensor suitable for?It is designed for equipment operating at or above ~90 rpm (100–300 rpm typical). If equipment runs significantly slower, you should verify that the sensor’s low‐frequency response covers the application. |
2. What signal output does it provide?Standard sensitivity is approx. 100 mV/in/s (≈3.94 mV/mm/s) ±5%. Some variations mention “200 mV/in/s ±3%” for higher output versions. If you require a 4–20 mA output variant, check with supplier whether that option exists ( some listings mention “4-20 mA optional”). |
3. Can I use this sensor for high-speed rotating machines (e.g., 3600 rpm)?While the 190501 is tuned for low frequencies typical of slow-speed fans, it still covers up to ~1 kHz frequency range in some versions. However, for very high‐speed machines it may not be the optimal sensor; check the standard Velomitor or other models designed for higher rpm. |
